I am a corporate photographer by day. When I'm not shooting or editing, I write short stories and novels, contribute personal photography to the Shutterstock website, shoot events for a few companies in Houston, and run a local book club. We meet at the pub. Okay, we're a wine club that talks about books. Semantics.
I love the works of Edgar Allen Poe, Daniel Keyes, Richard Matheson, and Stephen King. Dark stories with sad endings are my jam. In my own writing, I lean towards the horror, sci-fi, and dystopian genres. I live on the Texas Coast with my husband, teenage son, and three dogs. My daughter recently moved into her own apartment and I'm not prepared for how old that makes me. Clearly, I had her when I was only ten.
*Child pictured is not the author, but a painting by Josephine Gresham of her daughter. The painting hangs in Bishop's Palace (in Mrs. Gresham's Bedroom) in Galveston, TX. Photo taken during a Lantern-light Tour of the Palace in 2019. Holly thinks this is a creepy painting, and much more interesting than her own face.
